Language

The game has a special in-game language which the fans usually call Zuish. Why? It belongs to the Zu people! Some in-game tips help you decipher the language. It was based in english, so it should be familiar to most players who are reading this page.

However, Zuish is read top to bottom, right to left, like traditional japanese and chinese.

 

A common phrase used in typography is "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog." The game uses this sentence to display the Zuish alphabet. So, if you go letter by letter on these images, you can decipher the alphabet.

There are 6 types of symbols, and they can be rotated four times to make the different letters. The letters U and V are equivalent (like in latin! They are the same symbol), and K and Q are also equivalent.

The writing artifact shows how the letters were learnt, so people could print or engrave their messages in Zuish.

The artifact is found where the lazy dog sleeps, inside one of the tree areas.

Having cubes as a reference is a constant for the Zuish people. The game shows zuish text to affirm that either we are talking with/about the Zu, or that they have been there (or would have been there). Good examples are the Village / Zu City, the Hexahedron (that was used to talking to Zu people) and Nu Zu.

Funny tidbit: while writing this page, the autocomplete created the sentence "Zu zui!" to say it was the most common zuish expression, and roughly translating it to "We are the Zu!". This is definitely not official, but I wanna use it from now on. hahaha.
