Book

The book or tome artifact is found on the library (how fitting). Not anywhere, but inside a treasure chest in a back room.

It looks like a very thick book, with a red cover, golden inbound and corners, and a gold symbol representing the third dimension on the cover.

Once you acquire it, you can use the action button to actually open up and flip through its pages. It's all written in zuish, of course, and not all the pages are in correct order.

The Tome is supposed to be read "three dimensionally," with each letter requiring a turn of the page. The order of pages is: 1, 5, 2, 6, 3, 7, 4, 8. This might sound insane, but it is the conclusion that several players found, trying to translate the book. Here are some of the discussions at gamefaqs here, here and at reddit. There's probably more discussions on the Xbox forums (because the game was an xbox exlcusive back in 2012), but I wasn't able to find it.

 

The translated text in the correct order is a poem, made by several haikus:
